Walter Engines (Walter Aircraft Engines)

In 2000, EEIP actively participated in the financial restructuring of Walter Praha, the largest producer of aircraft engines in the Czech Republic. EEIP acted as an advisor of AERO Holding, major shareholder and deciding creditor of the Czech Consolidation Bank. Consequently, EEIP acted as an advisor during the sale of Walter to strategic partner Novus Holding Corp.

Due to the successful restructuring and subsequent sale, Walter recorded 15 percent increase in its revenues already in 2002. Second restructuring phase began in 2004, when production activities of the company were separated into Walter Engines and Walter Medica. Revenues of Walter Engines reached CZK 564 million in 2006, with a year-on-year growth of 30 percent. Walter Engines (now Walter Aircraft Engines) was acquired by General Electric Aviation in July, 2006.
