RIA for the government regulation supporting the revitalization of brownfields for non-economic use (2020)

In 2020, the EEIP carried out a Regulatory Impact Assessment and prepared a final RIA report for the Ministry of Regional Development on a draft government regulation on the conditions for supporting the revitalization of brownfields for non-economic use.

The RIA report was prepared specifically for the draft government regulation on the conditions for the use of funds from the State Fund for Investment Support in the form of a subsidy or loan provided for the revitalization of brownfields for non-economic use.

The main objective of the new regulation was to support the regeneration of areas defined as brownfields that have been degrading in the long term. Municipalities that own brownfields or purchase them for the purpose of revitalization and have no motivation to develop such areas without the state support were identified as the most important target group of beneficiaries.
