Consultancy for foreign institutions

EEIP cooperates with the key EU institutions on the long-term basis and offers its clients consulting services based on direct experience from the projects elaborated for the European Commission and the other major EU institutions. Due to the long-lasting cooperation with the European Commission, EEIP has gathered exceptional knowledge of functioning of the EU institutions and of the system of financing from the EU funds.

EEIP, together with its partner ICEG EC, was awarded a contract from the European Commission to carry out following projects:

  • Next steps in developing Information Society Services in the New Member States: The Case of eLearning and eHealth (2006-2007)
  • Factors and Impacts in the Information Society a Prospective Analysis in the Candidate Countries (2003-2004)

From the wording of the title it follows that the study is simultaneously elaborated in 10 new EU member states, where EEIP was responsible for the report on the Czech Republic in the both domains as well as partly responsible for the synthesis report for all countries.

EEIP further cooperated with ICEG EC on another long-term project that included monitoring and analysis of the European market for broadband internet. EEIP was responsible for the report on the Czech Republic. Main task of EEIP was data gathering, data analysis and preparation of forecasts of a future development of the broadband market.

In 1993, Prof. Mejstřík managed the team of leading independent experts that prepared the Pre-programming Study for PHARE fund for Centre for Foreign Assistance, Ministry of Economy of CR.

Medium Term Objectives for 1994-1997 PHARE Programming

EEIP experts participated in a series of projects done in cooperation with the foreign government and non-government institutions:

  • Consultancy for the Egyptian government during the privatization of state-owned companies
  • Implementation of the project “Enforcing Economic Development Policies through Building Czech-Moldovan Partnership” together with think-tank EXPERT-GROUP (Moldova) and in co-operation with the Open Society Fund
  • Cooperation with USAID and Booz-Allen-Hamilton during the creation of mutual fund sector in Ukraine and in Kazakhstan mainly in the area of strategy and management of funds
  • Participation in the USAID project (The Bosnia Legal and Regulatory Reform Project-LRRP) in Bosnia-Herzegovina aimed at reforming the capital markets and the Sarajevo Stock Exchange
  • Advisory at the common project of East West Management Institute and USAID ”Partners for Financial Stability” for Central, Eastern and Southern Europe concentrated mainly on cultivation of financial markets
  • Analysis of the Moldovan-Czech Economic Relations: Hindrances and Opportunities for Increasing Bilateral Trade and Investment”
